अमेरिका पूरी दुनिया में सबसे आगे है, और उसका आँकड़ा दूसरे नंबर के देश से **तीन गुना** ज़्यादा है। CIA World Factbook के मुताबिक़ यहाँ 16,116 “airports or airfields recognisable from the air” हैं — commercial hubs, small-town strips, training fields, private airstrips, fire-fighting bases, यहाँ तक कि बंद या abandoned साइट्स भी शामिल हैं।

Glamour ≠ numbers
कम airports वाला देश भी ज़्यादा passengers handle कर सकता है (जैसे UAE के 2-3 giant hubs), जबकि ज़्यादा airports वाले देश की strength coverage है — हर छोटे-बड़े शहर तक aviation access।
India’s scene
भारत के पास अभी लगभग 487 recognised airports/airstrips हैं (international, domestic, private, civil enclaves). 2047 तक developed nation बनने के लक्ष्य से domestic demand बढ़ रही है; sustained investment और economic boom से ही इस स्तर की connectivity possible होगी।
Bottom line
“Most airports” का मतलब सिर्फ़ trivia नहीं — यह दिखाता है कि aviation किस देश की daily life, commerce, governance और emergency response में कितनी गहराई से woven है।
